2020 Dodge and Mopar have always been successful in drag racing, whether ordinary night race “on the district,” or top-level sports events. Trying to add something to his heritage, as well as attract more media attention to the brand, the 2020 Dodge represent experimental car in Mopar Challenger Drag Pak.
And, although this first version is not equipped with an engine capacity of 707 horsepower Hellcat, it seems quite impressive race car. Taking the ’15 Challenger, Mopar provided him with a body specifically tailored to the requirements of the National Association drag racing, and special tires from Hoosier – 28×4.5-inch front and 30×9-inch rear.
Under the hood is hidden a massive 7.0-liter Hemi Race V8, whose power is not reported. The engine is paired with an automatic transmission Chrysler 727 with a speed switch in the racing style.
The rear of the car is also designed specifically for drag racing classes – solid rear axle with a 9-inch aluminum third gear, brakes and adjustable anti-roll bar. The front desk is also regulated.
Interior taken from the Challenger SRT and slightly altered, added to the Mopar gauges, lightweight racing seat and five-point safety belts.
